Recent Technical Assistance
- Contracted by HUD to provide technical assistance
services to 35 HOPE VI Grantees specifically related to the
CSS component of their HOPE VI project. The TA shall include
strategic assessments, CSS workplan development, off-site and
on-site TA to ensure that the grantee is moving towards meeting
the goals and objectives of the workplan and evaluating/monitoring
grantee performance. 2002-Present
- Subcontracted to manage the Community and Supportive
Services program for the Housing Authority of the City of
Hagerstown. EDTEC will ensure that the CSS approach for original
residents are clear, effective, properly documented and captured
in the workplan. Also, it is EDTEC's responsibility to address
relocation, community task force, resident participation,
and Section 3 issues as they relate to the CSS process. 2002-Present
- Subcontracted to provide technical assistance services
to designated Customer Services and Amenities (CSA) Grantees
for HUD. Services shall encompass off-site and on-site TA,
evaluating/monitoring at-risk grantees, conducting TA workshops
and collecting best practice information on program successes
for dissemination to CSA program grantees. 2001-Present
- Providing Community and Supportive (CSS) Plan technical
assistance services to the Housing Authority of the Birmingham
District. 2000-Present
- Provided technical assistance to up to 48 HOPE VI
grantees in 33 cities in support of HUD's Community Self Sufficiency
initiative. 1997-2001
- Designed and implemented technology assessment effort
for national non-profit organization to assess and assist
their member organization use technology as a management tool.

- Provided a wide variety of services directly to
PHA staff under Twenty/20 Educational Community program (formerly
Campus of Learners). Services assisted PHA staff overcome
barriers to successful program implementation. 1998-2000
- Under a HUD contract, provided technical assistance
to 136 TOP grantee organizations in 9 cities and Puerto Rico.

- Completed a multi task assignment for the Chicago
Housing Authority which included evaluating resident services,
developing financing options to support the home ownership
programs underway, training for supervisory staff and residents,
planning for the computerization of resident centers and the
development of a youth computer related business. 1997-1998
- Initiated HUD national Youth Entrepreneurship Demonstration
program with the Philadelphia Housing Authority and the Los
Angeles Housing Authority. Completed a Spanish language youth
entrepreneurship curriculum for use in the Los Angeles Housing
Authority Demonstration project. 1996-1997
- Managed entrepreneurship education program for Camden
Board of Education.
