Recent Training
- Subcontracted to provide workshop training for CSA
grantees ensuring that each participating grantee has the required
knowledge and skill to implement the Resident Opportunities
and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Program grant. Topics include Program
Overview, Eligible and Ineligible Activities, Roles and Responsibilities
of Board Members, Partnership Development, Proper Financial
Management Systems, Effective Procurement and Contracting, Accessing
LOCCS and Grant Reporting Requirements. 2001-Present
- Grant awarded to manage Consortium responsible for
Youth Entrepreneurship Training to inner city youth located
in the Camden Empowerment Zone. 2001-Present
- Contracted to provide ISO 9000 training to businesses
located in the Camden Empowerment Zone. 2001-Present
- Provided economic development training in eight
cities to national non-profit funded by DOL to do welfare-to-work.
2000-2001
- HUD HOPE VI regional training series ~ Planned,
designed, coordinated and implemented 12 regional training
sessions for HUD national, regional and PHA management staff.
Topics included HOPE VI regulations, Mixed Finance development,
Relocation and Section 3 regulations. 1998-2000
- Under a HUD contract, provided training to 136 TOP
grantee organizations in 9 cities and Puerto Rico. Developed
and presented 14 comprehensive trainings on TOP regulations,
financial management, contracting standards and partnership
development. 1998-2000
- Developed and provided statewide training conferences
on 5h homeownership program in 25 states. 1996-1997
- Developed complete curriculum (including instructor's
guide, slides presentation and trainee materials) for HUD
TOP program. Provided trainers for 5 regional training conferences.
1997
- Developed Homeownership training for HUD central
and field office staff. Produced CD-ROM to support training.
Provided the training to 400 residents, PHA staff, bankers
and community leaders in 7 cities. 1996
- Provided regional training workshops for HUD field
staff on homeownership programs including 5h, Turnkey 3, and
HOPE. Workshop Training provided in Atlanta, Baltimore and
Tempe, AZ. 1996
- Developed the major TOP training curriculum materials
used by OCRI including books on Financial Management, Accounting
and Bookkeeping, Accounting and Bookkeeping Exercises, Procurement
and Implementing Your Work Plan. Each of these books has been
highly rated by residents and staff alike. 1995
- Provided strategic planning and conflict resolution
training to staff and residents of the Chicago Housing Authority.
