PHA Staff Training-The HOPE VI Development Process and How It
Fits
1-Day Course
This 1-day, 5 hour training is designed to thoroughly familiarize
housing authority staff, both HOPE VI and particularly non-HOPE
VI staff, with the HOPE VI process. Trainers and participants
discuss the interactions among existing staff and HOPE VI employees.
This session will explore time sharing of blended staff to maximize
efficiency and will stress capacity building for staff, as future
HA operations will assuredly resemble HOPE VI efforts. Coursework
introduces staff to the roles of non-tradition working partners,
tax credits and syndication, privatization, asset management
and more. This training is ideal for new HOPE VI sites and those
planning to submit an application.
