In the preceding chapters you have been introduced to black entrepreneurship and discovered the rich history of African Americans in business. You have read about the success stories of individuals who had tremendous odds against them, including slavery and being denied the right to patent their inventions. In spite of these obstacles, African Americans managed to own businesses and provided opportunities for future generations. This legacy should not be forgotten.
