EDTEC was founded in 1985 with a mission to address the needs of youth in a way that would capitalize on the human capital often overlooked by traditional thinking firms and government agencies. At the core of this endeavor was the idea that youth, given the proper training and opportunity, could be viewed as contributors to economic development across the nation.
EDTEC's early success was due in part to the development of a Youth Entrepreneurship Training program that instructed youth in how to start and operate businesses. After receiving local and national attention for its efforts in youth business development, EDTEC expanded its services to other areas in federal and state government, fortune 500 companies, and educational institutions.
EDTEC has gained national recognition as being a quality provider of innovative programs in training, education, and economic development for communities and organizations throughout the country. Headquartered in a 4500 square foot facility in downtown Camden, New Jersey, EDTEC is conveniently located to service local clients in Southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. The firm is also preparing to open a Los Angeles area facility in the near future in order to better serve their nationwide client base. With the increased use of interactive technology and other learning support systems, EDTEC is positioned to become a major player in its core markets in the year 2000 and beyond.
